James Spencer

James H. Spencer, 55, died at his home in Port Orchard on June 18, 2000. He was born on August 11, 1944 in Seattle, Washington to Homer A. & Alice (MacLennan) Spencer. He graduated from Columbia High School in Richland, Washington in 1962 and University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho in 1966. Jim married Joanne M. Pfohl on January 10, 1970 in Richland.Mr. Spencer worked for 26 years as an Insurance Agent with Bratrud-Middleton Insurance in Bremerton. He served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam as a Sargent, earning the Purple Heart. Jim coached for many years with the South Kitsap youth baseball leagues. He was a member and past president of the the Port Orchard Rotary Club.Surviving are his wife, Joanne; son Sean Spencer of Port Orchard; parents Homer & Alice Spencer of Richland; and sisters Patty Spencer of Port Townsend and Christy Peterson of Spokane.A Memorial Service will be Friday, June 23, 2000 at 2:00PM at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard.
