James R. Tietge 76, of Belfair, Washington died October 19, 2000 at his home. He was born February 20, 1924 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewen, Canada to Victor and Catherine Watt Tietge.James attended High School in Hoquiam, Washington and the University of Washington in Seattle.He married Juanita Nadine McBoyle on August 9, 1949 in Yuma, Arizona.He was a private in the United States Army during WWII and served in the European and Pacific Theater. James was an Imigration Officer with the Department of Justice for 29 years where he retired in 1975. Mr. Tietge was a member of the Fraternity of The Retired Border Patrol and North Mason Senior Citizen Center in Belfair. Surviving are his wife Juanita Nadine; three sons Steven Burchell of Belfair, Washington, Richard Tietge of Belfair; and Kenneth W. Tietge of Spanaway, Washington; daughter Terri Koher of Enumclaw, Washington; sisters Barbara McKenny of Mesa, Arizona, and Betty Gregory of Portland, Oregon, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by brothers Kenneth Tietge and James Tietge Garner.The family will hold a private inurnment at the family cemetery.
