Jane Marie Densmore, 68 of Port Orchard, died March 17, 1999. She was born in Detroit, Michigan April 6, 1930 to Everett & Marie (Neuman) Coen and raised in Armada, Michigan.Jane attended Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan attaining her Masters Degree in 1974. She worked as an Elementary School Teacher and in family counseling. Jane was active in the Methodist church, was a Youth Leader, 4H Leader, Den Mother for Boy Scouts of America, and writer for a newspaper. She also enjoyed painting.Surviving are sons: Jerry Densmore of Rapid City, South Dakota, Larry Densmore of Port Orchard, Washington, Harry Densmore of Port Orchard, Washington and Steve Densmore of Fallbrook, California; daughter Kerry Abernathy of Renton, Washington; mother Marie Coen of Port Huron, Michigan; brothers Bruce Coen of Painsville, Ohio, Alan Coen of Brighton, Michigan, and Frank McAdoo of Virginia; sister Amy Coen of Washington, D.C.; and grandchildren Amanda, Meghan, Harrison, Benjamin, Andrea Joy, and Kyle Densmore; Macon, Talon, and Tanner Abernathy.Funeral Service Tuesday March 23, 1999 at 1:00 PM at Rill Chapel, Port Orchard with interment following at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.
