Jean Bunten

Jean Bunten, 84 of Port Orchard, died March 3, 2012.  She was born December 27, 1927 in Olympia, WA to Frank & Dorothy (Wasson) Klumb.  She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1945 and married Patrick R. Bunten September 5, 1947.  He preceded her in death in 2006. Jean was a homemaker and also worked for several years as a Bookkeeper &  Receptionist for Drs. Middleton & Wakefield in Port Orchard, retiring in 1982. Jean loved to knit and read.  In her younger years, she enjoyed the outdoors with her husband.  She was a member of Kitsap County Republican Women, Ladies’ Birthday Club, March of Dimes & Children’s Orthopedic Hospital Charities.  Surviving are son Dan (Donna) of Elk Grove, CA; daughters Bridgit (Paul) Bain of Cincinnati, OH & Mary (Michael) Ginther of Port Orchard; brothers John (Beverly) Klumb of Marceline, MO & Jim Klumb of Camano Island, WA; grandchildren (Dan (Lisa), Christopher (Laura), Zachary (Rachel), Bill, Drew, Caitlin, Madeleine, Jolene, Robin & Brett; great-grandchildren Patrick & Vincent. Graveside Service 2:00 pm on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard with visitation from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Rill’s Life Tribute Center
