Jeanne Marie Gardner

Jeanne was born in Dedham, MA and spent her early years at the Fire Island Lighthouse where her father was a keeper. During the depression years the family relocated to Los Angeles. She wed Robert Gardner whom she met by way of her sister Peggy who was dating his twin brother John. They were married for 63 wonderful years until Bob's death in 2010. Jeanne was an artist in many medias taking prize ribbons at the Santa Clara County Fair for many years. She became an art instructor at Presentation High in San Jose until her retirement.
Dancing was one of their favorite activities, belonging to a number of dance clubs over the years. Entertaining was also one of her joys periodically having sit down dinners for up to 10 couples at their waterside home. She was also active in Veteran's organizations along with Bob.
She is survived by her daughter Michelle (Bob deceased), son Michael (Bob), grandaughters Christine (Dan) and Carolyn, and great grandaughters Abigail and Allison.
