Jeanne Bodle Trogdon, 79 or Port Orchard, Washington passed away at home on Sunday March 9, 2008. She was born in Port Orchard on March 13, 1928 to Jonas H. and Lucy Belle (Colburn) Bodle. Jeanne attended Broadway High School in Seattle for two years and then her family moved back to Port Orchard and she finished her junior and senior years at South Kitsap High School graduating in 1946. She attended the University of Washington and wanted to be a nurse but she dropped out in her junior year. She married Jerry L. Trogdon on March 1, 1958. Jeanne was a Claim Supervisor at Northern Life Insurance Company until the birth of their first child in 1959. She then decided to be a stay at home mom and wife. She was an assistant teacher of Square and Round Dancing for Curley Q's and for the teenage dance group Russell's Rustlers. She loved to garden, bake, square dance, travel and most of all spend time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband Jerry Trogdon; her sister Lucille (Lowe) and her husband Virgil of Port Orchard and her brother Joe (Richard) Bodle and his wife Marguerite of Seattle and her sister-in-law Shirley Stwalley of Tucson, AZ; her children Ronald Trogdon and his wife Kari, David Trogdon and Sandra Gleason and her husband Timm all of Port Orchard; grandmother to Jennifer (Throolin) and her husband Jacob, Tyler, Kaleb, Lisa, Erik and Logan and great grandmother to Emma. Jeanne is also survived by nieces Kathy Renzelman and husband Dave of Kennewick, WA, Karen LeVassuer of Seattle, Katherine Carlson, Laura Zerr of Seattle and nephews Kenneth Schmeltzer and wife Patty of Belfair, WA, Richard Bodle and wife Candy of Federal Way, WA, Robert Bodle and his wife Julie of Port Orchard, WA, Michael Bodle and wife Jeanniue of Normandy Park, WA, Michael Stwalley of Normandy Park. Jeanne also was a great aunt as well as a great-great aunt. She was proceeded in death by her father, mother and brother George Bodle. Jeanne liked to give to a few charities and one she chose most to give to was SK Helpline. So, in lieu of flowers you could send a donation to your local food bank. Memorial Service on Monday, March 24th at 3:00 pm at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, with a reception after at Ron and Kari's home.
