Jerald Greer

Gerald "Jerry" Greer formerly of Madison, Illinois and Tacoma, Washington died of natural causes on September 30, 2004 at Washington Veterans Home in Retsil. He was 56. He was born April 29, 1948 in Madison, Illinois to Orville and Rose (Kraus) Greer. He married Blanche Faye (Munson) Greer October 28, 1972 in New Boston, Illinois. She died in Tacoma, Washington in 1999. Jerry served in the U.S. Navy from March 1966 to March 1972 - attaining rank of E-3. He worked approximately 10 years as a deck hand on river barges; and, for approximately 20 years as a taxi cab driver. He enjoyed fishing and game playing. Jerry is survived by daughters - Amber Dawn Greer of Tacoma, Washington, Tracie Burgess of Moline, Illinois; brothers - Willie Greer of San Luis, Colorado, Allyn Greer of Granite City, Illinois; sisters - Rose Marie Hampt of San Andreas, California, Rhina Greer of San Luis, Colorado; 2 grandchildren (Alexis Burgess and Aubree Burgess).
