Jerry Cross

Jerry R. Cross, 60, died at his residence in Belfair, Washington on April 7, 2002. He was born on April 26, 1941 in Tabernash, Colorado to Julius & Nellie (Estes) Cross. He was educated in Stockton, California. Jerry married Jerrie L. Rooks on January 3, 1970 in Reno, Nevada.Mr. Cross worked for many years as operator of the Airport Auto Wrecking in Port Orchard, Washington. He enjoyed playing the guitar and games of chance, and dearly loved his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife, Jerrie; son Brian Doughty of Belfair; daughter Denise Gargano of Bremerton; sisters Jecquetta Baker of Port Orchard, Fern Bratcher of New Mexico, and Beverly Hooper of Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by son Patrick Doughty, and sisters Cherry Ingram and Jenell Cross.Funeral Service will be Belfair Assembly of God in Belfair, Washington on Thursday, April 11, 2002 at 12:00 Noon preceded by 1 hour of visitation beginning at 11:00am. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.
