Jerry Prowse

Jerry Leon Prowse, 65, died in University Place, Washington on April 9, 2007. He was born on February 5, 1942 in Lebanon, Oregon to John & Ione (Reed) Prowse. He graduated in 1960 from West Bremerton High School and attended Olympic College in Bremerton. Jerry retired in 1993 after 30 years as a Nuclear Ship Scheduler at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton. He enjoyed sports, bowling, golf, darts, water & snow skiing, Huskies, Seahawks, Mariners & Sonics. He had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his grandson Spencer. Surviving are his mother Ione Prowse of Bremerton; daughter Stephanie Morgan of Seabeck, Washington; son Alan Prowse of Seattle; sister Judy Buskirk of Fox Island, Washington; grandson Spencer Helt of Seabeck; niece Anna McDonald of Tacoma; and nephew Drew Buskirk of Tacoma. Memorial service at Rill's Tribute Center in Port Orchard at 1:00 pm on April 17, 2007. Private interment at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard. Memorial donations may be made to Franciscan Hospice House, University Place, Washington for Olympic Alzheimer's Residence in Gig Harbor, Washington.
