Jewell W. "Jay" Patison of Port Orchard, Washington died September 21, 2004 at his residence in Port Orchard due to a long term illness (Asbestos). He was 74. He was born August 19, 1930 in Scott City, Kansas to Jewell A. and Ollie Jane (Farr) Patison. Jay married Florence J. (Williams) Patison on December 8, 1957 in Gorst, Washington. He attended high school in Compton, California; and graduated from Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington in 1961. Jay served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956; and, worked as a Copper Smith and Scheduler at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He worked 32 years - retiring in 1984. Jay enjoyed family and friends, Gorst Baptist Community Church in Gorst, Washington, traveling, VFW in Port Orchard, Gideons, Eagles of Port Orchard. He is survived by his wife, Florence of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; daughters - Patsy Van Cleef (& husband, Jim) of Port Orchard, Florence Mitchell (& husband, Richard) of Gig Harbor, Linda McClellan (& husband, David) of Bremerton, Karen J. Lockwood (& husband, Joseph) of Sunnyslope, Rebecca Erdahl of Key Peninsula; brothers - Robert Patison of San Clemente, California, Larry Patison of West Richland, Washington; grandchildren (14): Jessica Farver (& husband, Bryan) of Port Orchard, Sarah, Jimmy, Julie Van Cleef - all of Port Orchard, Joshua Seitz of Tennessee, Justin Mitchell of Gig Harbor, Charleen Peterson of Gig Harbor, Craig Peterson of Bremerton, Christian McClellan of Bremerton, Danielle and Gabrielle Lockwood of Sunnyslope, Quincy and Emily Erdahl of Key Peninsula, and Sophia; great-grandchildren (2): Conner Peterson of Gig Harbor and Savana Pella of Seattle. A visitation will be held Friday, September 24, 2004 from 12 noon - 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday, September 25, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. - service time at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington. A funeral will be held at Rill Chapel?s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Saturday, September 25, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, Washington at a later date.
