Joan Mccary

Joan L. McCary, 72 of Port Orchard, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital on July 31, 1999.  She was born on December 7, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York to Jack Harold & Louise Henrietta (Ahlers) Oswald.  She moved to the Bremerton area in 1950 and married Robert E. McCary, Sr. of Port Orchard on September 2, 1966.  Joan worked as a photo retoucher and taught retouching.  She was a very talented artist, specializing in pen and ink sketches.Surviving is her husband; 5 children Gayle Adair of Idaho, Dean Cooper, Robert McCary, Jr., Leigh Brant, and Renie Christian, all of Port Orchard; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.Private family graveside services are planned.
