Joann P Sharp

December 13, 1956 — January 26, 2024

Jo Ann Parsons was born December 13th, 1956, to Robert and Patricia Parsons in the beautiful oceanside town of Newport Oregon. She attended Sam Case Elementary, Newport Middle School and Newport Highschool Graduating Class of 1975. JoAnn spent her days working in the hospitality industry at Restaurants, Country clubs, and Hotels.

As a Navy wife she traveled around the coastal United States until landing in Port Orchard Washington in 1995. She graduated from Clover Park College in Tacoma WA. with an associate in business management in 1997. JoAnn was spicy at times, had an infectious smile and spirit, a strong sense of humor (often inappropriate), and made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed music and dancing, camping and concerts. She was a hunter, trekking through trails in search of Deer or Elk up until 2019, and was a passionate motorcycle rider. As a family we spent a large amount of time camping earlier in life in California at Lake Sonoma, and later in eastern Washington or at concert venues and bike rallies. She always enjoyed Hawaii the best though, making multiple trips back to enjoy the beaches, sunsets, people, and culture. Her biggest treasure was her family and in her last days she made sure to let us know family is the most important part of life. Per her final wishes her ashes will be spread in Hawaii by her family, and we must go and “have fun”.

JoAnn is preceded by her Parents and two sibling’s sister Vicki L. Parsons and brother Robert C. Parsons (Skip).

She is survived by her partner in crime Jeff Walker of Tahuya WA. Daughter, Tiffany Ann Sharp and Granddaughter Elliette Mae Sharp of Phoenix AZ. Daughter, Tanya Marie Jennings, Husband John Jennings and three grandchildren, Makenzie Pichette, Keira Rockholt and Liam Jennings of Port Orchard WA., and by her Brother David O. Parsons of Reno NV. JoAnn is also survived by her former spouses, Stephan W Sharp of Silsbee TX., and Cal Vanassche of Phoenix AZ.

A small Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday Feb 4th at 1pm. Please reach out to immediate family member for location if you’d like to attend.
