Joanne Claire Groh passed away at her home on July 28th at the age of 73. Joanne was born in Seattle, WA to Arthur Paul Groh and Olive Elizabeth Temple on November 1, 1939.
Joanne is predeceased by her father Arthur P. Groh, her mother Olive E. Temple and her sister Shirley I. Moline. Joanne is lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Derik McClintock of Port Orchard, WA, her granddaughter and grandson-in-law Rachelle and Nick Jennings and her great grandson Kellen Jennings all of Vancouver, WA. She is also survived by 9 nieces and 7 nephews.
Throughout the years she enjoyed outdoor activities of swimming, hiking and traveling. She put her love of the outdoors to canvas using water colors. She also loved spending time with her family. She graduated from Ballard high school in 1957 and returned back to school in 1985 to earn an Associate degree from ITT Technical School.
A private blessing was held at Rill Chapel August 2nd by Father Phuong and the celebration of her life will be held at Rill's Life Tribute Center, 1151 Mitchell Ave, Port Orchard, WA on August 17th at 11:00AM. A reception will take place at Rill Chapel reception room following the celebration of her life. In honor of Joanne's love of nature and the outdoors, the family asks that if flowers are sent, please consider sending a live plant for use in continuing to beautify this world.
