Joe Tyler

April 2, 1941 — February 13, 1999

Joe W. Tyler, 57, died at his home in Port Orchard February 13, 1999. He was born April 2, 1941 in Picture, Oklahoma to John I. and Myrtle (Crawford) Tyler. He married Sharon King June 2, 1979 in Port Orchard, Washington.  Joe served in the U. S. Navy from 1958 to 1964 and worked as an Insulator at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard until retiring in 1995.  He was a past vice-president of the Local #62 union; past president of Peninsula Pacers CB Club; member of Bremerton Eagles; Forester member; and a volunteer Firefighter.Survivors include his wife; sons John Tyler of Issaquah, WA and David Kramer of Port Orchard, WA; daughters Teresa Tyler of Port Orchard and Jodi Leary of Pittsburgh, PA; sisters Tudy Leon of Temecula, CA, Teri Korte of Lake Elsinore, CA, Katie Smith of Lake Elsinore, CA; grandchildren Greggory Tyler, Matthias Kramer, Bailee, Kramer and twins Levi & Breanna Tyler.Funeral Service Friday, February 19, 1999 at 2:00 PM at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.  Interment will follow at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.
