John F. Bruner, 63, died at his home in Port Orchard October 13, 1998. He was born on September 17, 1935 in San Francisco, California to George & Elizabeth Bruner living there until he moved to Tillamook, Oregon at the age of 12.Mr. Bruner served in the U. S. Navy from 1959 to 1965 as a Shipfitter on the USS Prairie and USS Bonhamme. He retired in 1993 after 30 years service. He was active in the Army National Guard from 1952 to 1955.He is survived by wife, Hattie Bruner; sons Patrick Gibbs of Port Orchard, Byron Harter of Cheney, and Wayne Maeirt of Seattle; daughter Joanne Thompson of Bremerton; and 4 grandchildren.Services will be at Tahoma National Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Tuesday October 20th.
