John Brust

John Francis Brust died January 14, 2003 at his Port Orchard, Washington residence. He was 60.He was born September 25, 1942 in Streator, Illinois to John and Lucille (Kmetz) Brust.John graduated from Gibson High School in Gibson City in 1960.He married Mary (Beck) Brust February 29, 1964 in San Mateo, California.John served in the U.S. Navy for 3 years.He started off as an electrician at Hunter's Pt. Naval Shipyard in San Mateo, California. He retired in 1997 as a Planner/Estimator at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He worked a total fo 33 years.John enjoyed golf, bowling (he was involved in many bowling leagues), snow skiing, fishing, gardening, camping, and hunting.He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.He is survived by his wife, Mary (Beck) Brust of the family home in Port Orchard, Washington; step-mother, Helen JoAnne Brust of Bradenton, Florida; sons - John Eugene Brust and Christopher Scott Brust - both of Port Orchard, Washington; daughter - Ruth Hunt of Port Orchard, Washington; brother - Roger Brust of Lovington, Illinois; 4 grandchildren (4): Steven Dale Hunt, Spencer Lee Hunt, Christopher Sky Brust, Amanda Lynn Brust.A visitation will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church of Port Orchard, Washington on January 20, 2003 at 12:30 p.m.Funeral services will also be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church January 20, 2003 at 1:30 p.m.
