John Richard Dickson

John R. Dickson “Unkie”, 92, of Sunnyslope, WA passed away May 26th, 2014 at his home in Sunnyslope. Unkie was born March 19, 1922 in Seattle, WA to Margaret (Smart) and Richard Dickson. Unkie was a WW II vet and served with the Army from 1943 to 1946. Before and after the war he worked at PSNS as a pipefitter and retired in 1977 with 35 years of civil service. He also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Sunnyslope fire station until retiring completely in 1987.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret & Richard Dickson and his beloved wife, Mabel (McNulty) Dickson.
Unkie was friend and family to everyone he met and loved sharing BBQs and family dinners with all those he was close to. He loved his dog, Rebel, old cars, telling war stories, trips to the beach and working around his property.
Graveside services will be 2pm Thursday, June 5th at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard
