John James Godek, Jr., 59, died at his home in Port Orchard, Washington on May 18, 2000. He was born on September 5, 1940 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to John F. & Helen (Makarewich) Godek, Sr. He graduated from Monroe High School in Monroe, Michigan in 1958. John married Eileen (Maloney) Randolph on December 8, 1977 in San Diego, California.Mr. Godek worked for the past 18 years as a Shipfitter for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1979 retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He was also employed after retirement, for Alpha Cine Labs, Inc. in Seattle.Surviving are his wife; sons John Godek, III of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Shawn Randolph of Manassas, Virginia; daughter Karen Pierson of Port Orchard, Brenda Randolph-Fuller of Port Orchard, and Gigi Randolph-Arnold of Bloomington, Indiana; mother Helen Godek of Florida; sister Terese Rubinstein of Florida; and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Alicia, father John, and brother Stanley.A Memorial Service will be held on May 23, 2000 at 7:00 pm at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.
