John Higson

John Reynolds Higson of Allyn, Washington, passed away in his sleep Tuesday morning, February 29, 2000.  He was born in White Plains, New York on July 21, 1927 to Ramona (Reichert) & Francis Delmar Higson.  John married Margery Robbins on May 31, 1957 in Libertyville, Illinois. Mr. Higson retired from the Boeing Company in 1992 as a Systems Engineer.  He attended Columbia University in New York, Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, and Bethany College in West Virginia in conjunction with the U.S. Naval Reserve Aviation Cadet V-5 Program.  He received a Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.Surviving are his wife Marge of 42 years; daughters Lesley (Mike) Dougherty of Bellevue, Washington and Jill of Santa Monica, California; son Scott of Newcastle; grandchildren Brendan & Kendall; and sister Dorothy Gates of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.Services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Nicholas Episcopal Church, 15000 NE Shore Road, Tahuya, WA 98588 or Providence Home Center, 2505 Olympic Hwy North, Suite 150, Shelton, WA 98584.
