John “Jack” Myers, 79, of Burley, Washington, passed away from leukemia at the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on June 14, 2022. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 1st at Burley Bible Church, 14687 Olympic Drive SE, Port Orchard 98367.
Jack was born August 19, 1942 in Kremmling, Colorado to Abe and Edith Myers, ultimately settling in Burley, Washington at age two. Jack is survived by his wife Judith of 43 years; sons Jack, Tom, Mark and daughters Mary and Tina. Jack had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Jack was a father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
Jack joined the Navy at age 17 and served our country for 21 years which included three tours overseas. He worked in the Evergreen business for over 40 years, but was forced to give it up due to his health. He spent his free time gardening in his backyard and cooking meals for others to enjoy. Whenever you visited you NEVER went home hungry. His BBQ skewers and mashed potatoes and gravy will be forever missed.
A special thank you to Franciscan Hospice for their loving care and support during his final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Rill Chapel for being very accommodating during this difficult time.
