John 'Jack' Raymond Fitzgerald, 73 of Port Orchard, died in Silverdale on March 18, 1999. He was born in St. Paul Minnesota May 17, 1925 to John Raymond & Agnes H. (Kirsch) Fitzgerald and raised in Duluth. He graduated from Cathederal High School in 1942 and attended the University of Minnesota. He married M. Dolores 'Dee' Harrington in Seattle on January 10, 1953.Jack served in the U. S. Navy during World War II & Korea. He worked as a realtor for 35 years for various companies and owned Fitzgerald Realty for 14 years. Mr. Fitzgerald belonged to many clubs and organizations including Eagle Scout, Kiwanis, Harmony Club at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, and Port Orchard City Council. He was an Eucharistic Minister, CCD Teacher, CYO Leader, Avid Husky Fan, Golfer & Gardener. Jack was alledged to have painted the giant shamrock in downtown Port Orchard in 1979 on St. Patrick's Day.Surviving are his wife; son James S. Fitzgerald of Bremerton; daughters Theresa Marie and Michele Simpson of Bremerton and Maureen Fitzgerald of Olympia; sisters Peg Monn, Eileen Murphy & Pat Johnson all of Minnesota; and grandchildren Colleen Secrest of Wyoming, David Miles of Tacoma, Brian Simpson of Gig Habor, Michael Simpson of Bremerton, Eric Simpson of Tacoma, Elizabeth Krupke of Olympia, Joshua Krupke of Olympia, Dawn & Chad Storey of Port Orchard, John Fitzgerald IV & Mary Katherine Fitzgerald of Port Orchard. Jack was preceded in death by his son John R. Fitzgerald III.A Memorial Service will be held March 22, 1999 at 1:00 PM at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard.
