John Ryan

John Newman Ryan died at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard, Washington on October 28, 2002. He was 82.He was born March 27, 1920 in Newark, New Jersey to John and Mildred (McQuavy) Ryan.He attended Sedro Woolley High School in Sedro Woolley, Washington.He also served in the U.S. Navy.John owned and operated a Standard service station in California (El Cajon).He also repaired travel trailers in California.John enjoyed flying; and, was a member of the Eagles of Port Orchard.He is survived by son - John N. Ryan, Jr. of Seattle, Washington; daughters - Sharon A. Ryan of Seattle, Washington and Shirlee Toman of Auburn, Washington; sister - Patricia Stone of Port Orchard, Washington; and, 3 grandchildren (William, Robert and Michael Toman) and, 9 great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at Rill Chapel of Port Orchard, Washington on Saturday, October 9, 2002 at 2:00 p.m.Inurnment will be held at Sunset Lane Cemetery, also of Port Orchard.Memorial donations may be made to:American Heart Association4414 Woodland Park Ave. N.Seattle, WA. 98103
