John Thomas Vail, 61 of Port Orchard, Washington died at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Washington after battling cancer. He was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico on March 16, 1946 to Hilton & Hazel (Boyd) Vail. He married Luanne Peters on April 5, 1986 in Moses Lake, Washington. John graduated from Pacific High School in San Bernardino, California in 1964 and from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington in 1993 with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. John worked as a self employed Accountant and was also a Pastor for the Church of God in Kitsap County and various California locations. John enjoyed fishing and hunting. He played college baseball, played softball, and enjoyed watching major league baseball - especially the Seattle Mariners. He served on the board for the Kitsap Foster Care Association. Surviving are his wife Luanne; son Michael John of the family home; daughters LaVonne (Randy) Cooper of Silverdale, Washington, Kimberly (Jon) Adams of San Bernardino, California, and Elizabeth Breanne of the family home; mother Hazel of Victorville, California; brothers Hilton (Lenda) of El Cajon, California and Joe (Paula) of Victorville, California; and grandchildren Jonathan Adams of San Bernardino and Alyssa Rene' Cooper of Silverdale. Memorial service at Christian Life Center in Port Orchard at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2007.
