Jose Aguilar

Jose M. Aguilar, 87, died November 1, 2009 in Retsil, Washington.  He was born December 14, 1921 in San Benito, TX to Eusebio & Ines (Vasquez) Aguilar.  He graduated from San Benito High School in 1940. Jose worked for 45 years in San Antonio, Texas as an Insurance Salesman, retiring in 1985.  He also served in the U. S. Army/Air Force from 1941 to 1945, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant as a Radio Operator/Mechanic at Scott Field, Illinois. Jose was an insurance salesman, but he was not your typical insurance salesman.  His motivation was different.  He worked mostly with the poor.  His primary goal was not to make a lot of money, but to provide the poor with affordable insurance to cover their burial when their time came, and to provide for their family. Surviving are sons David (Cindy) Aguilar of Laurel, MD and Michael Aguilar of San Antonio, TX; daughters Sandra (Don) Olson of Gig Harbor, WA and Beverly (Eddie) Duncan of Frisco, TX; brother Henry (Elvira) Aguilar; sister Lucia Villarreal; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by infant grandson James Anthony Muzzarelli and brothers Joe & Abel Aguilar. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 4th at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard with a Celebration of Life Service on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 11:00 am, also at Rill's.  Online memorial at www.rill.com
