Jose Quichocho

May 19, 1943 — November 11, 2009

Jose (Boya) Quichocho, 66 of Port Orchard, died November 11, 2009.  He was born May 19, 1943 in Guam to Jose C. & Nativida (Pablo) Quichocho.  He graduated from High School in Guam in 1962 and married Pacita Taijeron on June 9, 2007 at Bangor, WA. Jose retired after 20 years in the U.S. Army as an SFC E-7, Drill Sergeant Instructor receiving several awards including Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.  He also worked for MWR in Bremerton for 5 years and for Jim's Chevron, also in Bremerton. Jose enjoyed fishing, golfing, and was a band member.  He was a member of St. Gabriel Cathoilic Church in Port Orchard. Surviving are wife Pacita; sons Joseph of Puyallup, John of Guam, Boya (Lindsay) of Jamestown, ND; Chris ( Megumi) Castro of Port Orchard; daughters Vivian Sayama & Patty Quichocho; brothers Thomas (Rose) Quichocho and Gus (Doll) Quichocho; sisters Isabel Taimanglo, Mercedes (Bocho) Flores, Nai (John) Taitano, Chong (Ton) Sayama & Felicita Suburon all of Guam.  Extended family Mike & Claretta Wakita of Oahu, Hawaii, Elias & Celina Sablan of Port Orchard, Craig & Joyce Eddings of Port Orchard, Frank & Lourdes Atoigue of Bremerton, Rosa Sablan of Port Orchard.  Grandchildren Tshlene, Sherese , and Richard Ichihara, Joseph Paul Quichocho, Dayna Cabrera, Claudine  Edwards, Ruben Rebanio, Jr., and Nic Rebanio.  Great Grandchildren Viviana, and Victor Sayama and AnnaMarie Rebanio. Step Grandchildren Aniscia Wakita, Tiara, Tarina, Alex & Vince Sablan, Caylene & Celine Eddings, Ray & Ann Mein, Brandon & Andrew Mein, Trish & Dennis Rosette, Josiah & Carmen Rosetta. He was preceded in death by sister Maria Balajada, Nephews John & Bill Balajada, Step Son Vince Castro, Brothers in law Pete Balajada, Pepe Taimanglo, and Ton Quidachai. Visitatation from 6-7pm on November 18th with Rosary following at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.  Funeral Mass on November 19, 2009 at 10;00am at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard with burial following at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent at 1:30pm.  Online memorial at www.rill.com
