Jose I. San Nicolas

January 3, 1949 — May 15, 2020

Jose Isezaki San Nicolas also known as “Joe” (Familian Hilario) was called by our heavenly father on May 15, 2020 at the age of 71.

Joe was born in Guam on January 3, 1949 to Jose and Concepcion San Nicolas. He worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Shop 99, retiring in May of 2009. He also served time in the Army in the infantry division (Vietnam Vet). He was a member of the Guam club of Bremerton & vicinity. Joe loved to attend fiestas, drive his family on long road trips (usually down to San Diego where he loved to spend time with his wife and family), spend time fishing and hunting (a skill taught to him by his dad) and loved to listen and dance to music; most especially Chamorro music. Joe loved to surprise his wife, June on special occasions and whenever he had an itch to get her flowers. He loved cars, and so June would attend car shows with him.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Concepcion I. San Nicolas (Familian Chapanese), his father Jose Q. San Nicolas (Familian Hilario), his son Joseph San Nicolas and his siblings William I. San Nicolas, Antonio I. & Nenita D. San Nicolas, Steven G. Pinaula and his great-granddaughter Emmarie Pablo.

Joe is survived by his wife, June Sudo Mesa San Nicolas and her family; Janice L. Mesa, Tara M. and Noel Chargualaf (Jayvin, Atisa, Jahi & Alina), Jeska M. and Freddy Ordunerz, Travis J. Mesa and Kayla Littlefield (Seraphyna & Elliana), Trevor J. Mesa, Tyler J. Mesa and Janelle Hovgaard (Tystin). His children Jerilyn San Nicolas, Jolene and Joe Pablo (Alyssa, Anna, Joe, Jadin), John San Nicolas, and Jeresa San Nicolas. He is also survived by Emilia San Nicolas & Antonio Palacios & kids, Pilar San Nicolas & Juan Finona & kids, Elizabeth San Nicolas Borja & kids, Terry San Nicolas & Francisco Meno & kids, John I. & Patty B. San Nicolas & kids, Allan I. & Marilyn B. San Nicolas & kids, Rosie San Nicolas Santos & Kids, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

He will be sorely missed by all.
