Josef Rauth died November 27, 2002 in Port Orchard, Washington in an automobile accident. He was 74.He was born in Indija, Yugoslavia September 4, 1928 to Josef and Magdalena (Offenbecher) Rauth. He attended a trade school in Germany.He married Melitta Huneken on October 15, 1955. They divorced in 1998.He married Eunice Sharp on Steptember 2, 1999, in Allyn.He worked as a tool and die maker at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 52 years. He retired in 1996.He was a member of the Sons of Norway and the Eagles. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren, ballroom dancing and playing his accordion.He was a member of of the Memorial Lutheran Church of Bremerton.Survivors include two sons, Hans Helmut Rauth of Spokane and Roger Kenneth Phillip Rauth of Poulsbo; four daughters, Astrid Lieselotte Eiken of Dusseldorf, Germany, Cornelia Ada de Felix of Puerto Penasco, Mexico, Ronnie Edeltrud Rauth of Allyn, and Melitta Linda Holland of Port Orchard; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Garnet Rauth.Visitation is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. A funeral Mass will be held at noon Saturday at Memorial Lutheran Church.
