Josephine Jones

Josephine M. Jones of Bremerton, Washington died December 15, 2003 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. She was 56. She was born in Guam May 2, 1947 to Ignacio and Josefa (Taimanglo) Mata. She married Larry G. Jones July 16, 1979 in Fallbrook, California. Josephine graduated from high school in Talafofo, Guam; and, also graduated from the University of Guam. She worked as a budget analyst with Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 5 years - retiring in 1987. She worked as a budget analyst with Civil Service in California and Guam from 1973 to 1982; taught school in Guam, and was a postal worker in Guam. She loved to play Bingo and cards and attending parties. She was a member of Guam Club in Tacoma. Josephine attended Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton, Washington. She is survived by her husband - Larry G. Jones of the Bremerton, Washington family home; mother - Josefa Mato of Guam; sons - John Leon-Guerrero of Gaum, Steven Leon-Guerrero of Guam, Edwin Leon-Guerrero of Guam, Michael Leon-Guerrero of Guam, Ivan Leon-Guerrero of Guam; daughter - Lakesia Jones of Bremerton, Washington; brother - Oscar Mata of Guam; 23 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Josephine was preceded in death by her father - Ignacio Mata. Visitation will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 24, 2003 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. A Rosary will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center December 23, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center December 24, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, Washington.
