On behalf of Kathleen Furniss,
Joshua Thomas Comerford passed away unexpectedly in his home on October 16th, 2014 in Tahuya. Josh was born on February 7th, 1994 to Kathleen Furniss and John Comerford. In his short life he touched many people with his kindness, laughter and good hearted humor.
He loved sports, including skateboarding, snowboarding, and especially baseball. He often spent hours riding his dirt bike on the family property, which was in Olalla. Josh grew up in Olalla, and his heart and soul remain there. He still holds the record for the local Little Leagues home run derby. He and his brother both spent much of their youth at South Kitsap Southern Little League. He attended school at Olalla Elementary, John Sedgwick Jr. High, South Kitsap High and Discovery alternative. After High School, he spent much of his time working the family business.
He is survived by his Mother and Father, his brother Jacob, his sister Sara, grandparents Thomas and Diane Furniss, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A very kind and loving person, Josh made a difference in the lives of all that knew him.
A graveside memorial was held October 23rd, 2014 at Frayola Cemetery where he is at rest. A celebration of life will be announced soon.
