Juan Carbullido Charfauros, 49 of Port Orchard, died in Seattle, Washington on Aprill 4, 2000. He was born on January 14, 1951 in Agat, Guam to Manuel Santos & Maria Cruz (Carbullido) Charfauros and was raised in San Diego, California. Juan married Cecilia Castro Champaco on May 14, 1990 in Port Orchard.Mr. Charfauros worked for 15 years for the Washington State Veterans Home in Retsil, Washington, retiring in 1989. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1974 earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Badge.Surviving are his wife Cecilia and daughter Elizabeth Champaco of Port Orchard; brothers Jesus (Maltilde) Charfauros of National City, California, Franky Carbullido Charfauros of Chula Vista, California, and Ben (Mun-Cha) Charfauros of Spanaway, Washington; sisters Maria (Jose) Atalig of National City, Trinidad (Paul) Perona of Tacoma, Washington, and Alfonsina (Juan) San Nicolas of National City. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Carbullido Charfauros.Visitation will be Tuesday April 11, 2000 at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard from 9am to 9pm. A Rosary Service will begin at 7:30 pm followed by a reception. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, April 12, 2000 at Noon at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard with full military honors provided by Subase Bangor.
