Juan T. Ancheta

Juan ''John'' T. Ancheta, 93 of Port Orchard, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on June 6, 2000. He was born in San Juan, La Union, Philippines on January 25, 1907 to Pantalion & Anacleta (Tabafunda) Ancheta. He married Dominga Garcia in Manila, Philippines on January 24, 1962.Mr. Ancheta worked in farming most of his life. He was also employed at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1971. John was a member of Pacific Northwest Ilocandia Association (PNIA), Acacia Lodge #57 in Seattle, and St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard.Surviving are his wife; daughter Daisy Traylor of Seattle; sister Temotia Pagaduan of the Philippines; and a grandson. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Juliana Jacobo & Juanita Garcia and 2 brothers, Dominador Ancheta & Pedro Ancheta.Visitation will be June 8th & 9th from 9am to 5pm and June 10th from 9am to Noon at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. A Rosary Service will be June 11th at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be Monday, June 12, 2000 at 10:00am at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard with interment following at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.
