Juanita Talmadge

Juanita passed away quietly at home with her family attending on May 30, 2010. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Henry Talmadge, her son Timothy Talmadge and her grandchild Lane Talmadge. She is survived by her sister Barbara Peterson of Selah, WA, Jerry Rystrom of Westport, SD, her three children Catherine Pourtau of Port Orchard, Tobias Talmadge of Phoenix, AZ, and Andrea Talmadge of Port Orchard. Also surviving are six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren whom she enjoyed so much. Juanita worked throughout her years as a wife and mother, medical secretary, records clerk at PSNS and eventually started her own business as owner and operator of Grannies Home Cleaning where she continued to work until the age of 74. Juanita was an avid gardener, protector of the environment, enjoyed playing cards and board games, and a staunch advocate for the Veterans of America where she volunteered her business services for Veterans. Graveside Memorial service will be held at Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor on Saturday, June 5th at 3:30 pm with a remembrance service following at the family’s home.
