Juanita May Walberg

Juanita May Walberg, 85, of Port Orchard, died peacefully on Jan 8, 2014. She was born Sept 19, 1928 in Pear Valley, Tx to Roy & Carrie May. Juanita graduated from Brady HS in Texas in 1946 and on June 7, 1947 married James Walberg at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bremerton. Juanita was a homemaker and in the 1960's & 70's a tailor at Kahn's men's clothing store in Bremerton. She loved sewing and created many of her daughters clothes during her lifetime. Juanita was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church where she was confirmed in 1951, part of the ladies guild and a Sunday School teacher. One of her favorite hobbies was bowling in the leagues at Hi Joy Bowl. She also loved spending time at her beach house in Grayland. Survivors include two dtrs - Cathy (Larry) Sharrett & Terry Brock, a brother - Marion Cass (Gail) May, 5 grandchildren - Isaac, Annie & Joseph Sharrett, Ian & Wayne Brock, 3 great grandchildren - Nathan, Addison & Arlo and numerous nieces & nephews. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband - James, son - John, son-in-law - Jack Brock, granddaughter - Brianna (Brock) Carlson, brother - Cletus May and sisters - Dorean Vetters & Jean Scott. Public services will be 11 am Saturday Jan 18th at Bethany Lutheran Church. Private burial will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park under the direction of Rill's Life Tribute Center.
