Judith Buchanan

Judith E. Buchanan, 63 of Bremerton, Washington died August 8, 2007 in Poulsbo, Washington at Martha and Mary Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was 63 Judy graduated from high school in Bremerton in 1962. After high school, she worked as a classroom and bus aide at Holly Ridge School, attending to the needs of disabled students. She also volunteered at the Frances Haddon Morgan Center, working with autistic and developmentally disabled children. Judy retired as a Purchasing Agent at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center at Keyport, Washington after working more than 22 years. Judith excelled at needlework, particularly knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are nieces Stephanie Fry, Mindy McBride, Deanna Thurston, Jennifer Evans, Carrie Lingmann, Holly Rose, and April Taylor; nephew Steven Taylor; several grandnieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Judy was preceded in death by her parents W.C. Buchanan and Edna Madison, stepfather Thomas Madison, and sister Sandra Taylor. Memorial service at 11:00am, Thursday, August 16, 2007 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
