Judith Kasler

May 4, 1942 — April 2, 2010

Judy, a brave woman who endured years of pain with a heart open to all and a laugh to go with it, left us on April 2, 2010. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Judy’s life revolved around raising her children, working in different capacities during that time. Judy then found the career she loved, working as a Washington State Corrections Officer. Grandchildren became Judy’s focus after having to retire due to a disability. She was particularly fond of family camping trips to the mountains. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Elsie Kimple, her loving brother Kaye, dear daughter Joan, first husband John Kasler and partner in life Danny Wilder.  She is survived by her two sons, Jeffery Kasler of Tacoma, Donald Kasler of Port Orchard; her daughter Jennifer  Kasler-Kelley of Port Orchard, her sister Doris Donovan of Seabeck, her brother Tom Kimple of Capitola, California.  Seven grandchildren: KC Kasler, Kristina Kasler, Caitlyn, Kirstyn,  and Aiden Kelley, Ayla Sprague, Daniel Damek, and great-granddaughter Maria Kasler. The family is deeply appreciative for the care given to Judy by her physicians through the years, the staff at Harrison Hospital and Ridgemont Terrace Nursing Center, and particularly thankful for Hospice of Kitsap County Care Center and their staff for making her final days comfortable. Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 9, 2010 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard followed by a Graveside service at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
