Julia Holt will be remembered for her genuinely kind and loving nature and brought light to all who knew her. She was an attentive listener, a great encourager, mentor, supporter & advice giver. The way she would light up when she saw you, give you a heartfelt hug, search high & low for just the perfect greeting card, put real thought into gift giving, or spend days, weeks, or months making you a handmade (sewn or cross stitch) gift made you feel valued, treasured, and truly loved. The bond shared with those she loved was her greatest gift to all who were fortunate enough to experience it.
Julia was born in Seattle on July 20, 1942 to John & Josephine Corbett. She married Ruddy at just 17 years old and moved to Woodinville to raise her children. After her soulmate passed away, she moved to Edmonds where she made new friends and reconnected with some others. Julie was her happy and vibrant self until her final moment on August 24, 2021 at the age of 79. She led a happy and fulfilling life, dancing into her forties, playing pinochle regularly, and keeping up with her extended family. She spent her last weekend at her beloved cabin on Lake Cavanaugh surrounded by her children and lifelong friends, enjoying life.
Julia Alice Holt is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Rudlin “Ruddy” Holt. She is survived by their 4 children and spouses: Bill (Gina), Don (Kristi), Tim (Elizabeth), Mia (Wayne); 11 grandchildren: Sean (Ingrid), Meleigha, Chris, Nick, Tori, Alyssa, Drew, Aubra, Jaden, Bailey, Indira; 1 great-grandson: Hector; sister Claire, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Julie loved fiercely. Her bright light made this world better in countless ways and will live on in her children, grandchildren, & future generations.
