Julie Ross

Julie A. Ross, 63, of Port Orchard died May 12, 2003, at her home.She was born July 30, 1939 in Duluth, Minn., to George and Norma Johnson. She graduated from Central High School in Duluth in 1957. She married Richard Ross on Feb. 15, 1958. They were later divorced.She worked as a secretary for civil service for 20 years, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading and gardening. She also was accomplished at crafts. Survivors include her former husband; two sons, Jack Ross and his wife, Rachel, of Graham and Jimmy Ross of Tacoma; a daughter, Laura Winge and her husband, Gerald of Port Orchard; and five grandchildren, Gregory Schuy, Shane and Eric Winge, and Alex and Carson Ross. She was preceded in death by a son, Rick Ross, and a brother, Ronald Saatela.No local services are planned. Inurnment will be in Pelican Lake, Minn.Arragnements are under the direction of Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
