Julius Wittmann

Mr. Julius ''J.C.'' Wittmann, resident of Sequim, Washington died at the age of 86. He had been born in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 12, 1915 to Henry Curtis Wittmann and Emma Marie (Reusch) Wittmann.''J.C.'' graduated from The University of Nebraska in 1939 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.During World War II, he worked as a civilian at Pearl Harbor. After the war, he met Audrey Louise Smola in Honolulu, Hawaii. They were married on February 19, 1949 in Honolulu. Later, the couple moved to Seattle, where he worked for Boeing until his retirement in 1968. The couple moved to Sequim in 1970.Survivors include his wife, Audrey; sons Herbert Alan Wittmann of Sammamish, Washington; Ronald Curtis Wittmann of Niwot, Colorado; grandson, Matthew Curtis Wittman of Niwot; and brother Richard of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.Visitation for Mr. Wittmann is scheduled just prior to the funeral, on Wednesday, 09-19-2001, at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, Washington, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Rill Chapel. Pastor Steve Eaton will officiate the ceremony. Interment will follow with graveside service at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard. After the interment, a reception will be held at Rill Chapel.All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
