Kae A. Foote

Kae Atkinson Foote was born in Baton Rough, LA on March 25, 1947 and passed away into the arms of Jesus Christ at Bremerton Medical Center from unexpected congestive heart failure on November 4, 2016.

Kae married David L. Foote in New Orleans, LA on April 10, 2010. Kae was happily retired from Boeing as an Event Planner and living in Federal Way when they met online at babyboomers.com and immediately fell in love. They bought a home in Bremerton’s Illahee area in December 2009.
She was a homemaker, artist, and loving and devoted wife. She created a small cottage business called ‘The Artful Leaf’ where she sold her beautifully painted rhubarb and gunnera leaf castings in addition to her own mosaic designed items.

She was the sweetest, warmest person with a sparkling personality that was magnetic. She brightened every room she entered and made friends wherever she went. Her smile was captivating and her eyes were always twinkling with a bit of devilishness. She loved to travel with her husband David. They made annual trips to Las Vegas where she enjoyed playing the penny slots and taking in a show. Her husband affectionately called her the Cat Lady. She loved her 6 cats and would have filled the entire house with cats if she could have.

She, as well as others who knew her well, often said that the years she spent with David were the happiest seven years of her life. She will be deeply missed by family and friends, but especially by her loving and devoted husband.

She is survived by her husband of six and half years, David; her sons Ross Kelly and Michael Kelly in New Orleans, LA; her step sons Christopher D. Foote, wife Christy in Scottsdale, AZ, step son Matthew T. Foote, wife Vicki; step son John F. Johnson, wife Kate in Temecula, CA; step daughter Eve L. Brothers in San Francisco, CA; step daughter Janet R. Crandall in Hertford, NC; step son Cash R. Smallwood in Kennewick, WA; and step grandchildren Gillian, Jennifer, Olivia, Connor, Taylor, Haley, Tegan, Brynn, Narina and Zade who passed away in January 2016. She is also survived by her sister Becky in Florida. Finally, she is survived by her cats, Layla, Oscar, Sebastian, Yoda, Winston and Maxwell.

There will be a Family and Friends viewing at Rill Chapel at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 9 with services following at Rill Chapel on Friday, November 11 at 10:30 AM.
