Kandis L. ''Kandi'' Kingston, 50, died in a vehicle/pedestrian accident in front of her home in Port Orchard, Washington on December 2, 2000. She was born on December 29, 1949 in Puyallup, Washington to Lloyd & LaVerne (Williams) Hatch. She graduated from Samuel Ayer High School in Milpitas, California in 1968. Kandi married Roger G. Kingston on December 4, 1988 in Port Orchard, Washington.Mrs. Kingston was a homemaker and foster parent. She enjoyed camping and crafts.Surviving are her husband Roger, parents Wayne & LaVerne Taylor; sons Robert Henke of Port Orchard, Justin Kingston of Tacoma; Eric Kingston of Alaska, and Benjamin Kingston of Port Orchard; daughters Staci Henke of Bremerton, Heather, Amianne, and Kasandra Kingston, all of Port Orchard; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; and 1 grandchild. Kandi was preceded in death by father Lloyd Hatch and sister Sandy.Visitation will be at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on Thursday, December 7, 2000 from noon to 5:00pm and Friday, December 8, 2000 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Funeral Service at Rill Chapel on Saturday, December 9th at 2:30pm. Interment will be at Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup. Memorial donations may be made to the Kandis Kingston Benevolence Fund and any branch of Bank of America.
