Karl Hofmann

Karl C. Hofmann, 79 of Port Orchard, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on November 11, 2000. He was born on June 23, 1921 in Germany to Hans & Wilhelmina (Mosshammer) Hofmann. Karl married Maria J. Fibich in Germany on December 1, 1951.Mr. Hofmann attended Tool & die Making trade school in Germany. He worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton as a Tool & Die Maker, retiring in 1986. Karl enjoyed watchmaking and repair.Surviving are his wife Maria; daughter Shirley and son-in-law Roger Johnson of Port Orchard, Washington; sisters Hilda Reid of Port Orchard and Inge Brendel of Germany; a grandson Bradley Johnson of Port Orchard; niece Christina Missman of Port Orchard; nephew Karl Reid of Port Orchard; and numerous great nieces & nephews.A Memorial will be held at the family home on December 3, 2000 from 1:00 to 4:00pm.
