Katharine C. ''Kit'' Hall, 87 of Port Orchard, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on November 19, 2000. She was born in Seattle, Washington on June 1, 1913 to Charles & Helen (Maxwell) Croasdill, Jr. Katharine married Russell Sweany on October 27, 1933 in Seattle and he preceded her in death in 1974. She married Ray Hall on May 10, 1980 in Port Orchard, Washington, who also preceded her in death in 1997.Mrs. Hall graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle in 1931 and attended the University of Washington also in Seattle. She worked in the insurance industry, retiring in 1980. Kit was an award winning knitter and belonged to the Jennie L. Miller Orthopedic Guild. She was a member of St. Bede's Episcopal Church.Surviving are sons Russell Sweaney, Jr. of Gig Harbor, Washington and Charles Sweany of Fountain Valley, California; daughters Kay Maris of Buckley, Washington and Sara Jones of Gig Harbor; step-daughter Janis Hall of Huntington Beach, California; brother Walter Croasdill of Seattle, Washington; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by brother Charles Croasdill III.Visitation will be Tuesday, November 21, 2000 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Funeral Service will be at St. Bede's Episcopal Church in Port Orchard on Wednesday, November 22, 2000 at 2:00pm with interment at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard to follow.
