Kathleen Michele Furniss

In loving memory of Kathleen Michele Furniss
Kathleen was born in El Waco, WA to Thomas and Diane Furniss, August 12th, 1962. Kathleen moved to the Kitsap county area in 1969 with her family. She attended Chico Elementary, East Port Orchard Elementary, Marcus Whitman Jr High, Cedar Heights Jr High and South Kitsap High School. In 1980 she left the area when she moved overseas with her family to Yokosuka, Japan. While in Japan she worked on the navy base at the daycare facility teaching preschool. In 1983 Kathleen returned to the United States. She went on to travel to Idaho, Nevada, and New Hampshire before returning to Washington State where she resided until her passing.
Kathleen was a hard worker. She spent many years working her family business of buying distressed properties, refurbishing and reselling them.
Kathleen was a committed and loving mother of her two sons Jacob R. Comerford 12/23/91 and Joshua T. Comerford 2/7/94 to 10/16/14. She considered her sons the greatest blessings in her life.
Some of Kathleen’s happiest years were spent in Olalla, WA building her dream home and raising her boys.
Some of Kathleen’s favorite things were gardening, music, dragonflies, her cat Steve and being with her sons.
Kathleen was so very beautiful inside and out. She was kind, caring and compassionate. She was always there to listen to anyone who needed an ear. She had a gentle way about her that people found comforting. Her passing has left a tremendous sense of grief and sorrow for those who knew her. She will be missed for a long time to come.
She is preceded in death by her sister Christine A. Furniss, youngest son Joshua T. Comerford 10/16/14 and her father Thomas A. Furniss 5/1/21.
She is survived by her son Jacob R. Comerford, mother Diane M. Furniss, sister LaDonna Furniss and brother James Furniss, nephews Nicholas Furniss, Brian Bragg, Thomas J. Furniss, Maximillion Carlton and niece Victoria Furniss and many cousins and aunts and uncles.
Services to be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 12:00, at Fraola Cemetery in Olalla, WA.
