Kathleen Payseno

Kathleen Payseno was born February 14, 1937 in Seattle, Washington to Albert and Helen Rooms. Her dedication to her family and love for life will be remembered by all. Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 58 years, William Payseno. She is survived by her five children, Gregg (Jill), Gary (Shelly), Gordon (Jennifer), Glenn (Dana), Julie (Jim) Morgan, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and her sister JoAnn Bundgard. Kathleen worked for the South Kitsap School District as a 6th grade teacher at Olalla Elementary from 1972-1987 then in 1988 became a counselor at John Sedgwick Junior High until she retired in 2004. After Kathleen retired, she and William enjoyed traveling to Arizona to watch the Mariners spring training. Kathleen loved gathering with her extended family to play cards and board games; she also loved going to the casino. Kathleen frequently got together with lifelong friends and colleagues for lunch and reminiscing. Her celebration of life will take place at Rill Chapel on Friday, September 30 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
