Kathleen Schoen

Kathleen Anne Schoen, Age:51, of Port Orchard, died of cancer September 8, 2001, at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. She was born July 2, 1950, in Smith Center, Kansas to Orval and J. Bernadene (Byfield)Schoen. She graduated from Kennewick Senior High School in Kennewick,Washington, and from Columbia Basin Community College in Pasco, Washington. In 1976 she graduated from Central Washington State University in Ellensburg, Washington.Ms. Schoen taught Special Education at Connell Elementary School in Connell, Washington, and also in the South Kitsap School District.She enjoyed genealogy and writing. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include one brother, Terry Lee of WallaWalla, Washington; one sister, Sandra Kaye of Kennewick, Washington.A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center located on Mullenix Road in the Port Orchard area. Visitation may be made at the church from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Connell, Washington on Thursday, September 13, 2001 at 2 p.m.. All arangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
