Kathy Arlene Kimble

June 4, 1952 — September 4, 2023

Kathy Arlene Kimble, born June 4, 1952 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She passed after a short
illness on September 4, 2023 at St. Michaels Medical Center in Silverdale, WA.

Kathy lived in Kent, WA. most of her adult life finishing her last two years of high school in
South Kitsap graduating in 1969. Kathy became a professional and licensed hairdresser while
still in high school and stayed in that profession until retiring due to health issues in 1979.

She loved to travel. She went on road trip around the entire United States with her family on a
grand sightseeing and travel adventure in a Volkswagen Camper in 1967. Those travels greatly
shaped how she treated and engaged others. She had an unquenchable thirst for travel and new
adventures. She married twice but had no children.

Kathy was generous to a fault with immediate and extended family. She had several very close
friends, treated everyone she came in contact with compassion, including helping those less
fortunate than herself. She travelled to Iceland several times. She loved that country and visiting
her many cousins to numerous to list here. She lived in Iceland with her mother for a few years
while she was teaching elementary school for the Department of Defense Schools on the military
base in Reykjavik.

Kathy struggled bravely with mental health issues that continued for many years throughout her
adult life. In spite of these challenges she enjoyed a very independent lifestyle until her last days.
She was a loving daughter, sister, sister in law and aunt. She is greatly missed.

Many thanks to Kitsap mental health for their steadfast help and quality care they provided for
her for many years. Kathy requested no services. Anyone wishing to donate could do so to our
Kitsap County Mental Health Services and our local Kitsap County Humane Society.
