Katsuko Adams, age 63, a resident of Bremerton, died of Leukemia on Tuesday, September 19, 2006. She was born in Okinawa, Japan on August 14, 1943. She married Donald E. Adams in Naha, Okinawa on October 27, 1970 and they moved to Nebraska in 1971. Katsuko worked as a seamstress in Tacoma from 1987 until her retirement in 2005. She attended Seward Park Seventh Day Adventist Church in Seattle, Washington. She was a great cook and a great gardener. She is survived by son Joe Adams (Ping Wu) of Virginia and daughter Emma Piercy (Julian) of Bremerton, Washington; brothers Kiyomasa Nakamura and Ryuzen Shimabukuro; and three grandchildren Henry Adams, Karma and Cordelia Piercy. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 2:30 PM at Rill's Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington.
