Kelly Cherry

Kelly Cherry, 42, passed in his sleep and surrounded by loved ones on Friday April 20th, 2012. He is survived by his mother, Lorna Choo; his brother, Robert Cherry; his sister, Tamara Lehualani; his wife, Mara; his two daughters, Stephanie and Madeline; and his son, Thomas. His father, Robert Cherry Jr., is 19 years deceased. Born in Pensacola, Florida, he spent six years in the Navy which eventually brought him to Port Orchard, Washington, where he lived out the rest of his days.He was a strong-willed man who battled cancer for almost twelve years before succumbing to it, though not before earning his Doctorate of Law and fathering two more children. There could hardly have been a better, more peaceful passing for him: he got everything he asked for and was fiercely independent, right until the end.
