Kenneth Lee Erickson died at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington on July 31, 2002 due to injuries sustained in a bicycle accident. He was 46.He was born July 3, 1956 in Bremerton, Washington to Peter and Alida (de Koning) Erickson.He graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1974; and, served in the U.S. Army from 1974-1977 and also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and U.S. Coast Guard Reserve.Kenneth married Donna (Beal) Erickson March 7, 1981 in Bremerton, Washington.He was a Firefighter/EMT with Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He received the National Heroism Award for his involvement with the Kona Village Apartment Fire. He served 25 years (both as a firefighter and a nuclear machinist in Shop #38).Ken was an avid photographer, hiker, and an expert marksman.He is survived by his wife Donna of Port Orchard, Washington, mother Alida Erickson of Poulsbo, Washington, son Jon Erickson and daughters Donya and Erin Erickson all of Port Orchard, Washington, brother Donald Erickson of Silverdale, Washington, and twin sister Sandra L. Erickson of Seattle, Washington.
