Kenneth J. Mcgregor

Kenneth J. McGregor, Age: 70, of Allyn, Washington, and Mesa, Arizona, died November 5th, 2001, in Port Orchard Care Center.He was born August 20, 1931 in Wenatchee, Washington, to Arthur A. McGregor and Beryl Maxwell McGregor. He is survived by his wife, Grace, of the family home; a daughter, Theresa(Ray) Trent of San Jose, California; four stepsons; Stephen(Laura) Horsfall of Las Vegas, Nevada; Russell Horsfall of Lynnwood, Washington; Larry(Janeen) Horsfall of Tacoma, Washington; John Horsfall of Mountlake Terrace, Washington; his stepmother, Myrtle(McGregor)Bruce of Leavenworth, Washington; a sister, Betty(Jerry) Tumblin of East Wenatchee, Washington; two brothers, Keith(Inez) of Allyn; Malcolm (Sharon) of Salem,Oregon; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.He went to school in Peshastin and Leavenworth. He was in the United States Navy for four years, serving aboard the Destroyer,''Furst'', on the east coast and in the Mediterranean Sea. After his military service he was hired by Pacific Northwest Bell as an Electronic Technician and went on to the Data Processing Department as a Computer Programmer. During his last year at work, he taught ''Programming Philosophy'' and Languages to new programmers. He retired from PNB in 1986.His hobbies included stained glass, leaded glass, woodworking, pottery, blacksmithing and golf.He was preceded in death by his mother in 1943; his first wife, Zola(Leopard) in 1967; and his father in 1975.A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Thursday, November 8, 2001, at 11:00 A.M., at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. A reception will be held, immediately following the service, at Rill Chapel's Reception room.Memorials may be sent to Junior Golf Association at Post Office Box 670, Allyn, Washington, 98524.Arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home and Crematory.
